Road Safety Reminder from OCTSAB (Onondaga County Transportation Safety Advisory Board):
With mowing season in full swing, please keep in mind that grass clippings left on roadways can create hazardous conditions, particularly for motorcyclists and bicyclists. When wet, grass clippings can become as slippery as ice, increasing the risk of crashes and injuries. They can also clog storm drains and create additional roadway maintenance concerns.
